Aztlan Athletics has been around likely before many of us said our first words. The full service event management company has been in the business since 1974 and have focused tremendously on developing and operating grassroots, community-based fundraising events.
The goal? To improve health and wellness and college bound opportunities in the communities.
Every participant is treated like a champion as they cross the finish line and are immediately rewarded with a finisher medallion. Participants also receive a commemorative T-shirt designed by an artist that work for each of the events.
All the events support sustainability with ease of access to public transportation and metro. And each event gives participants not only the opportunity to have a year round wellness program, but also the ability to help support philanthropic causes and nationally recognized organizations with over 50% of the proceeds going directly to charities. Aztlan Athletics events have raised over $1.5 million to date and are continuing to give back to the community.
CEO Jose Zavala, says “Once our followers and participants experience the series of events, they leave with a sense of joy, hope and deeper empathy towards those working to empower our communities in Southern California.”
Though the events are competitive and challenging even to the avid hard-core athletics, everybody is welcome to join the events and experience the same joy, fun, and empathy towards the community.
